Organisation and Individual User Web Sites Welcome to new Organisation and Individual User Web Sites and Web Pages, as well as to the newly established Training Programme Site and Mailing lists of the Armenian Freenet!
The latest Organisation Web Site on the ArmFN is MEGHVIK ("Bee") Children's Educational Centre. Beautiful design inspired by children's paintings and attractive contents on versatile education activities carried out by this NGO in different parts of Armenia.
The new Individual User Web Pages include an elegant Page of the singer Rouben Hakhverdian in Armenian, with excellent pictures and lyrics of the best songs. Remarkably attractive site for those interested in the art of Rouben - there are few in Armenia who are not!
Several important events on the Armenian Freenet in the area of Information Technologies: the first is the opening of mozilla.am - Armenian Enabling Mozilla Navigator under Indivudual User Web Pages. The title speaks for itself and thus may be extremely useful for Internet community in Armenia. The second event is the establishment of Mailing List on Armenian Standards (send SUBSCRIBE to standards-request@freenet.am). We hope this List will become a forum for discussions by everyone concerned and interested in the development of Armenian Information Technologies. All relevant ideas and suggestions are welcome!
Paramaount concern of the ArmFN is to have educated and capable users that are able to effectively use the opportunities offered and enrich the Freenet with their ideas and information. As of 11 May 1998, the Armenian Freenet includes the Freenet Training Programme - a comprehensive set of tailor-made training courses on the Internet from basics to advanced subjects like SQL and Network Administration. The Site has a built-in possibility for on-line training that will be launched soon! View all the News
