Second Training site and Webmasters' club (*) You are all aware by now that ArmFN have opened the second training site on the 2nd floor of Parberakan building at 2 Arshakuniatz Ave.. Please be informed that it is now open for all ArmFN users every working day from 11:00 to 15:00 as a public access site providing Internet access from every workstation (except Tuesdays and Thursdays which are the days of regular ArmFN training sessions; for more info, please visit www.freenet.am/Training.html). Do use this opportunity to take full advantage of our services!
(*) We are glad to notice that quite a few of you - at least about 30 - have started designing your own web sites. As you know, one of the objectives of the ArmFN is to promote and to support design of interesting and quality web sites by all our users. As you are also aware, the ArmFN staff and facilities do offer a range of services to facilitate such a complex and challenging job as web design. After all, the richer is the ArmFN with web sites created by our users, the more interesting and useful it is for everyone, and more it serves its ultimate objective which is to foster the development of information resources in Armenia and about Armenia.
(*) Therefore, we kindly request you to please inform us on your current and intended efforts to design web sites. By doing this, you will enable us to provide to you some support and assistance, as well as to possibly reconsider our restrictions and quotas for disk space for user web sites.
(*) We realise that the ArmFN is not the only source of ideas and useful information on web design. Therefore, we have opened a mailing list entitled "Armenian Webmasters' Club." This virtual club brings together experienced webmasters from Armenia and outside, and is open for everyone. Please feel free to post any questions you may have on web design, web hosting, language adaptation, etc., etc. The working languages of the club are English (preferable) and Armenian. The address of the club is webmasters@freenet.am. To subscribe, please send a message containing the word SUBSCRIBE in the body text to webmasters-request@freenet.am .
(*) As part of our service, we are currently developing a FAQ (frequently asked questions) that will serve as a reference point that provides basic key information instrumental in your web design efforts. Please do help us with your questions and queries to make the FAQ as comprehensive as possible!
We are very much looking forward to our cooperation in enriching the cyberspace with excellent web sites about Armenia and about its people! View all the News
